Development has been heating up lately in the otherwise “sleepy” North Park Blocks district. Recently, there's been alot of press surrounding the redevelopment of the old Powell’s Books technical bookstore building, located a 33 NW Park Ave. The redevelopment will include demolishing the existing tw0-story structure and replacing it with a seven-story mixed use building, that would house both apartments and ground-floor retail (read about it more here).
Just two blocks north, another development project is underway at 235 NW Park Ave. “The Lemon Hotel", a renovation of 10,000 SF mixed-use building that will include office, retail and an additional second story penthouse space with a rooftop patio. The owner, Tim O’Leary has employed Siteworks Design|Build team to handle the seismic upgrade, interior redesign, and preserve the building’s original heavy timber, steel and concrete.
