Congratulations to Tribute's a landing a new home for their sandwich and pizza joint! Tribute's has a loyal following from their 12 years in business on NW 23rd and Kearney. Their new home at 2174 W Burnside is in a beautifully renovated brick building. We look forward to our first italian grinder at the new spot!
Little Big Burger's Micah Camden is venturing back to Sushi with Boxer. Boxer will feature sushi and sashimi and a very small selection of sake, as reported by Eater.

Earlier this week, PDC announced the formation of Produce Row, a new arts and entrepreneurial district located in Portland’s Central Eastside Urban Renewal Area. In recent years, the area has become an incubator for creative businesses looking to grow and mature. Now, the district boasts over 1,100 creative and industrial businesses, offering an eclectic mix of industries and uses.
The 692-acre district is bordered by Interstate 84, Powell Boulevard, the Willamette River and Southeast 12th Avenue. The Produce Row name originated when local farmers used the area to sell produce and benefited from the districts close-in city access and affordable real estate. This same access and affordability has helped lure many young entrepreneurs and creative professionals to the area.
Portland Mayor Sam Adams referenced the name change in his speech last Friday, but the official announcement was made by PDC, Monday.
Davis Street Tavern’s Christopher Handford, Blake Smith, and team will open their second restaurant, jamison, at the former Fenouil at 900 NW 11th.
jamison’s menu will focus on unique preparations of classic New American cuisine, while emphasizing local farmers and purveyors, using seasonal ingredients, and showcasing comfortable elements of fine dining.
Fenouil’s 220 seat dining room and mezzanine will undergo a revamp, setting the projected opening date at May 2012.
