North Portland Land Sales Heating Up

The development pipeline is filling up on N Mississippi and N Williams as developers get more motivated to acquire sites for new projects and owners ease up on pricing. That will be good news for the districts as vacant property turns into new mixed use development.  Increased housing and employment density is a key ingredient to help support Portland's small business community.

It sounds like the TMT Development family feud is getting ugly according to Jeff Manning's article in The Oregonian  last week, Angela Webber's story in The DJC  yesterday and Laura Gunderson's Oregonian story.  Following all the missteps of this on-going saga is almost humorous if it wasn't so sad.  2015?

Con-way redevelopment moves forward...Slowly

Slabtown blocks in Northwest District

Con-way, the international freight and logistics company, is looking to sell several blocks in the underutilized Slabtown- area.  The NW Portland based company is looking to sell as many as 10 blocks to investors and developers who may be able to turn into livable spaces, complete with apartment buildings, condos, ground-floor retail, public parks, plazas and subsurface parking.

The Stingray Cafe is now open!!

Black Cat Café owner Brendan O’Malley, has officially opened the doors to his third location the Stingray Café in the Leftbank Building at 240 N Broadway.  In addition to the Black Cat Café’s normal offerings (artesian sandwiches, delicious coffee and quality beers), O’Malley's Stingray Cafe will offer a diverse breakfast menu available for dine in or carry out.
