The New York Times featured a great article about Portland urban development and the retailers that recognize the bike-friendly culture in Portland. Both Jean-Pierre Veillet (Siteworks & EcoFlats) and Christian Ettinger (Hopworks Urban Brewery) were highlighted and featured in the Business Day section of the paper.

JP is my landlord and he scoots around town in a tricked out Tesla, not on a bike. Thats how landlords roll....scoot scoot.

Cycling is indeed a very nice start to lessen the continuing traffic which is experienced by the majority of people all over the world. Putting new lanes for bikers to lessen accidents, where bikers are involved, is highly advised. I was figuring it out how nice a society is if all people will use bicycle a means of transportation.
