Vancouver B.C. central city Costco
Why shouldn't Costco be located within the urban fabric of our central city?!
Today's Oregonian news story of early negotiations between the City of Portland, Gerding and Edlen Development and Costco is encouraging news for Portland's first possible urban Costco. Granted, there a MANY obstacles to be overcome if this site can be redeveloped but the site does meet the needs of all those at the bargaining table. A critical first step in any real estate development. Better yet, the project enhances the central city and provides urban residents with an alternative to the traffic clogged suburban haul.
We are certain that both the City of Portland and Mark Edlen are carefully reviewing Vancouver B.C. successful mixed-use development project by Concord Pacific. The 127,000 square foot store has two floors of underground parking with 700 stalls and 900 residential condos. The project had virtually no public opposition. Costco has also been very successful with another urban Costco in downtown San Francisco.
Now if only that Costco had a sales tax to help pay for Portland Public Schools…
For career, dare not say what improvement. Because have been jobs, and although some of his about go hard, but not really is successful, recently came to a new company, is very hard, I went for business, and then give me the opportunity to learn, also let I good effort.
